House Parties...House Parties...and more House Parties!

Coffee, cookies and cakes abound as Beth Roth visits house after house in a succession of house parties. These gatherings afford Beth the opportunity to speak with voters one-on-one. Constituents hold house parties because they know Beth previous to the campaign, have learned about her via newspaper articles and this website, or through canvasses done by the candidate.

Beth enjoys the give-and-take. People articulate what they want from their State Senator. They express concerns and ask for ideas and solutions. (This staff member likes the house parties because they are full of free food--notably delicious cheese and cracker combinations.)

These get-togethers serve as a capstone to a long day. They usually begin around 7:00 PM and do not conclude until deep into the night. We attribute the length of the meetings to the voters--and the issues they want to make known and discuss.

A State Senator can properly serve her constituents only when she knows the challenges they face. Beth Roth talks to the voters. Beth Roth can recognize these issues and through her experience, knowledge and hard work, she can offer solutions.

The Carpenters Union Endorses Beth Roth

We had a grand event last Thursday in Salem. The Carpenters Union came out in full force to support the Beth Roth campaign. The event was a success as it attracted people from all over the state and a large number of carpenters from District 22.

Future State Senator (?) Supports Beth Roth

Volunteers of all ages are coming out to support Beth Roth for State Senate!

In the often turbulent world of politics, it is nice to see a bright-eyed face to remind the Beth Roth team why Beth wants to be a public servant in the first place. Seeing a young girl like this take an active role in a campaign gives us faith in the next generation. In that same vein, this girl reinforces the fact that we have to settle this education debate once and for all.

What a Week!

This week has been a great one for the Beth Roth campaign: where to start?

Saturday we were at the Pelham Old Home Day Parade with Governor Lynch's people. We had a great time blowing up balloons, handing out stickers and meeting the people of Pelham. It was great to see an early preview of Beth Roth and Governor Lynch working together to get results.

Pelham residents Deb Waters and Kim Neskey put on some "Roth" t-shirts and held signs. They said it was the most fun they have ever had at the parade.

Above, Marilyn Suszek of Pelham (left) and Paul Dadak of Pelham (right) pose with Beth in front of the Roth / Lynch float.

The day was pretty hot, but we were happy to be outside for one of the remaining days of summer.

On Sunday, we were in Pelham again. This time, we were the guests at a house party on Sherbourne Road. Beth relished the opportunity to talk to the people in the district. Each town has unique problems that need to be addressed. The only way to learn about them and solve them is to get out and talk to constituents.

Campaign Updates

This page contains commentary and summaries of recent events of the Beth Roth campaign. Check in often as this page will have new material.

Monday, September 4th, Labor Day was a great and busy day. We started the morning in Manchester, at the AFL-CIO breakfast. We had some good food and had the opportunity to hear former Senator John Edwards speak.

Later, Beth hosted a BBQ. It was a great day to get the volunteers together and get them re-engaged with the campaign (and not to mention feed them a bit!).

Democrats, Republicans and Independents alike could agree on two things that day: BBQ and Beth Roth for State Senate.
